Just following up on my recent WhatsApp message to you all.  Please note the change in travel dates that now shifts the Tour to a week later than previously shared in the email below.  The revised dates are as follows:

​

• 5-night option - Tues 15th to Sun 20th Oct

• 4-night option - Wed 16th to Sun 20th Oct

The estimated costs remain unchanged. Currently, the flight costs have increased but this is down to the new year rush that happens every January. Once things have calmed down and the flight costs reduced, I'll be looking to get them booked fairly sharpish. In readiness for this it would be helpful if each of you could deposit £250 into the Society coffers asap please so that we can secure the preferred flights.

Good evening fellas,

Hope you’re all keeping well.  Those that have recently returned from the 2023 Tour, trust you all had a good time and enjoyed the sunshine........bit different to the weather since we landed.

​

Having spoken to most of you over recent months, the concensus for next years’s Tour venue was a return to Benidorm so this is what I have been looking at.  We will once again run 4 and 5-night stay options to accommodate everyone’s preferences, with 3 rounds played over the 4-night, and 4 rounds played over the 5-night option.  I will be creating a poll on our group WhatsApp so look out for this and assist by registering your interest ASAP please as in order to secure our preferred courses and tee times, I will also be asking each of you that commit to follow this up with payment of a non-refundable deposit to secure and book the flights.  This is the key action in all of this as once we have that (financial) commitment (and flight booking), I can then go to the golf booking agent and secure our preferred tees and courses.

 

As a heads up in advance of the WhatsApp poll, I have listed some of the key details below.  Some of the info may change, such as courses (as these are subject to availability etc), but core things like dates/hotel will remain fixed.

 

Couple things to note:

1. Golf clubs will form part of the package so unless you are desperate to play with your own clubs there will be no need to drag your own around.  If you do though, bear in mind this will add cost (c£60) to transport them across.

2. The dates correspond to the football internationals so we should be able to take in an England game too...............though thinking about it that may put some folk off.

 

Would be good to see some old, ugly mugs that haven’t been able to make a trip for a while, and sonme new ones that may not have done one of these before.  If the former, you know what you have been missing; if the latter, you don’t know what you are missing so why not give it a go in late Autumn and get some sunshine and cheap beer to compensate for the crap golf!!!
